The Kecak dance was created in the 1930s by Balinese artist Wayan Limbak and German painter Walter Spies. It draws inspiration from the *Sanghyang* dance—a sacred Balinese ritual performed in Hindu temples to ward off bad luck and illness. Originally, the Kecak dance was performed exclusively by men aged 50 and older. Its name is derived from the rhythmic “Cak… cak… cak…” chant performed throughout the show. While it was once staged only in specific areas—such as Bona Village in Gianyar Regency—Kecak is now performed across Bali, particularly at special events to welcome guests and at cultural tourism destinations. Soak in the stunning natural beauty as you watch a breathtaking sunset on the horizon. Experience Bali’s rich cultural heritage with a captivating Kecak performance held right on the beach. Step into a world of excitement with a range of thrilling water sports, from exhilarating surfing adventures to heart-pounding jet ski rides. Escape the crowds and discover your own slice of paradise at Melasti Beach.
Jimbaran seafood cafes must already be on your must-visit places for your Bali holiday, especially if you’re a seafood lover. Not only is Jimbaran Bay one of Bali’s best places for memorable sunsets, but it is also the most popular coast to enjoy grilled seafood. Seventeen seafood cafes line the white-sand beach locally known as ‘Pantai Kedonganan’. Mostly open afternoon until late, each of the venues within the row of Jimbaran seafood cafes in the bay offer fresh-grilled seafood served at candlelit tables on the sand. As the sun goes down, the horizon features faint lights from the Ngurah Rai airport and traditional fishing boat lanterns at sea. There are some beautiful restaurants around this place. For seafood restaurants at Jimbaran Bay, we offer you special packages from Tepi Pantai Resto.
